This is a trek throught the Andes, near to the Sacred Valley of the Inca, it has beautiful views.
Hotel pick up at your hotel.
Head to our starting point, Cuncani. A small village in the Andes about 3500m above sea level.
A friendly suggestion is to bring along some snacks or cookies for the children from the villages, most people here has limitate resources, most of them are llamas and alpaca sheperds.
After that we continue towards Yanacocha, “Black Lake”, and continue to Huacawasi, where our chef will be waiting for you with a delicious Peruvian meal.
Early start for breakfast and a warm drink to help with the cold.
Start our walk towards Sondor.
The trek is about 4 hours up hill, where we will pass lakes and agricultural lands that unfortunately produces poorly due to the cold climate.
After lunch we head downhill through the forest of Queuñas a native tree, crossing small streams, the vegetation become more colorful with an ammazing view.
Finally we arrive at Pucara our base camp, to have dinner, talk with friends and listen to some history from our guide.
Another early start time and after breakfast we begin our hike to Yanahuara where there are beautiful Inca Terraces that are still beinng used to produce corn and Andean cereal like Kiwicha and Quinua.
On the way we will also see some Inca remains such as: Chocana.
We have luch prepared by our chef and then make our way downhill to Ollantaytambo where we visit the town and take photos.
We then take the train to Aguas Calientes (town near to Machu Picchu).
At Aguas Calientes we will have time to relax at the hot springs or walk around in town.Overnight in Aguas Calientes
