We will leave Cusco at 4:30 a.m. and pass through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo.
Approximately at 9.00am. we will arrive at Mollepata and stop for a light breakfast before we start our first walk.
Stop at noon for lunch in in th fields of Silcakancha.
Another 3 hour walk until we reach Soraypampa to set up camp for the night. We will enjoy a delicious dinner prepares by our chef.
At 7:00am after a good breakfast we will continue our walk (considered the most difficult of the trip), crossing the site known as Salkantaypampa.
Around noon we will reach the left side of the nevado Umantayblanco,the highest point at 4650 m (15256feet) of Salkaytay Umantay
From here we can take in the snow capped mountains around us.
About 1.5 hour walk we stop in Huayrac for lunch.
We then descend towards the edge of the forest and then make our way to Colpapampa
Arrive around 17:00p.m for our second camp set up. We will enjoy a delicious dinner prepares by our chef.
Wake up and breakfast, start our walk at :6:00 a.m
This day will be unforgettable for the variety of Fauna and Flora we will see.
After stopping at the thermal waters in a small valley, we make our way to Sahuayacocha.
Here we will have lunch.
Take a shuttle to Santa Teresa following the Salkantay River whilst admiring a variety of orchids, coffee grown and numerous different fruit trees. We will also pass waterfalls before we reach Lucamabamba around 17:00p.m to set up camp. We will enjoy a delicious dinner prepares by our chef.
The departure is scheduled for 7:30 in the morning, we hike approximately 2 hours and then return to the ancient town of Santa Teresa which was destroyed by a flood in 1997.
Arrive at the Oroya (basket of a rope bridge basket) approximately 10 am .
Here we will do some exloring and have lunch. This is where we will say our goodbyes to the support staff.
Here you can also decide on whethere you would like to continue the trek to Aguas Calientes which would be the most ideal, alternatively you can take a train there
Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
After breakfast we start the trek up to Machu Picchu at the crack of dawn and see the sunrise over Machupicchu.
We will have a two-hour guided tour by the same guide who accompanied us during the trek, and then you have free time for potos and exploring.
We will head back down to the train station to make our way to Cusco.
Arrival in Cusco: approx. 20:45 p.m
